Creating a Baby Pure in Old School RuneScape (OSRS) is a dream for many PKers. Recently, with OSRS buy gold,I embarked on a journey to turn a brand-new level three account into a PK-ready Baby Pure entirely from scratch. Starting fresh off Tutorial Island, the plan was ambitious: reaching 60 Attack, 80 Strength, 85 Range, 1 Defense, 85 Magic, and 52 Prayer, all while exploring the most efficient quests, money-making methods, and training locations for a new account.
Early Progress: Quests and Key XP Boosts
Starting a new account can be grind-heavy, especially for melee. To skip early-level monotony, I relied on questing to gain huge XP boosts.
Key quests completed included:
Waterfall Quest – Instant 30 Attack and 30 Strength. The ultimate early-level melee XP boost.
Vampire Slayer – Added 4,825 Attack XP, bringing the account to 34 Attack.
Tree Gnome Village – Another 11,450 Attack XP, pushing Attack to 37.
Fight Arena – Completed to reach 41 Attack.
Grand Tree Quest – A massive 18,400 Attack XP reward, boosting Attack to 44 and Agility from 22 to 30.
Death Plateau – Granted climbing boots and 3,000 Attack XP, totaling 45 Attack.
Quests allowed for skipping much of the early grind, and with a simple setup—a Ring of Dueling and 10 Teleport to House tabs—I could efficiently complete them while maximizing XP gains.
One underutilized trick for new accounts: purchasing a house early on. For only 1k GP, a house grants instant access to portals, teleport networks, and useful quest shortcuts—saving hours of running.
Money Management and Gear Setup
After questing, gearing up was essential. I sold some early items like a Tormented Bracelet and invested in the best melee training equipment:
Brine Saber
Spiked Manacles
Berserker Ring (imbued)
Amulet of Torture
Prayer Regen Pots
This setup ensured maximum AFK efficiency, allowing melee training with minimal attention while safely increasing Attack and Strength.
Melee Training: The Betterman Camp Bandits
One of my favorite AFK training locations is Betterman Camp Bandits. Here's why:
Monsters constantly attack if you wear Zamorak god equipment.
Bring noted supplies, unnote at Mr. Tiles, and you're set.
Use Divine Super Combat potions and Prayer Regen to make it almost fully AFK.
Add the Salve Amulet (e) and Vigorous Chain Mace for 67.5% bonus damage to undead monsters in the Wilderness.
Even at 40 Strength, this setup yielded 60k+ Attack XP per hour, proving just how powerful a properly optimized Baby Pure can be.
Transitioning to a Toxic Staff of the Dead Pure
Originally, the plan was a classic 60 Attack / 80 Strength Baby Pure, perfect for learning PKing fundamentals. However, I opted to create a more unique PKing account: a 75 Attack Toxic Staff of the Dead Pure.
Why this works:
Staff of the Dead combined with the Magic Fang provides 15% bonus magic damage.
Cast Flames of Zamorak at 85 Magic to deal insane magic damage while keeping distance from opponents.
Keeping Strength at 40 allows future flexibility for high-spec weapons like the Ancient Godsword.
This choice is high-risk, high-reward and recommended only for experienced PKers. For beginners, sticking to 60 Attack / 80 Strength is safer and versatile.
Highlights and Achievements
75 Attack achieved in 6 days and 19 minutes of gameplay.
Max hits of 38+ with Flames of Zamorak, and 26s with only 40 Strength.
Efficient use of the Vigorous Chain Mace, Salve Amulet, Berserker Ring (imbued), and Antler Guard.
Multiple double trover parchments collected, adding over 1 million GP to the account.
Final Thoughts
This Baby Pure from Scratch series demonstrates that with the right combination of quests, gear, and training spots, you can go from a fresh account to a deadly PKer in a matter of days. Whether you stick to a classic 60 Attack / 80 Strength build or venture into a Toxic Staff of the Dead build, preparation and strategy are key.
Tips for new Baby Pure creators:
Complete early quests for massive XP boosts.
Buy a house for teleport shortcuts.
Invest in the best training gear your budget allows.
Use AFK training spots like Betterman Camp Bandits.
Consider your end goals carefully: versatility vs. specialized power.
Stay tuned for more updates as the Deadman Mode season kicks off and we finish the last levels of this account—85 Range and the final HP level. With proper planning, your Baby Pure can become a formidable presence in the OSRS gold PKing world.
